    The Ring/Ringu

    I watched The Ring last night and was a bit disappointed. Maybe I read too much hype about it. It just wasn't as sacry as I thought it would be. I'm going to rent Ringu, the original version, just to compare and see which one is the sacriest.

    Anyone here seen Ringu ?

          Yeah, I'm not a horror fan, but this one was not really very scary, or greatly interesting. I saw it as an in-flight plane movie, so it was OK to see for free.

          Apparently, the original Japanese version was more detailed in the story, and a better, more mysterious telling of it as well.

              I'd pretty much agree with what you heard about the Japanese version, Dean. It's definitely worth a rental.

                  I enjoyed it. Yes it is weak but, I thought it had it's moments. I felt some of the things done in it were original. However, I too heard the same about the Asian version. And this film could use some help!
