    Review of "Identity Thief"

I spun this dvd the other day on the advice of my 14 year old daughter. This film is apparently made by the same people that brought us the movie "Ted"

This film is not terribly funny and misses the mark on many levels. I found it tedious to watch and somewhat annoying actually!. It's basically about this Florida woman managing to steal the identity of this dude somewhere across the country and ruining his life as a result. He then goes on to try and track her down and does,,,,, and mayhem of course occurs. A road trip occurs and I could not stop thinking of the movie "Planes, trains and Automobiles" and the feeling that this film was a kind of ripoff of that film (Except much less funny!) For me, the laughs were far and few between. The humor, like in the movie "Ted", is crude and crass (Hence, the PG 17 rating). This film simply does not work.

    4/10 stars for this dud.

Since my daughters are well over 14, it is unlikely I would ever elect to see this one. Thanks for confirming my superficial judgement.

          Yeah, a pass for me.
I will pass because the movie is a "fail".

Now we all have learned that at the beginning of each day you are given your pages of the days work. For me that means I can figure out how I am going to utilize my crew and plan my day. The more I can get ahead of the company with pre-lighting the more time I can save production. And in film time is...

Personally I think it would be helpful to their bottom line if Hollywood figured out how to make interesting and original movies again......
