Review of "Promised Land"
I spun this movie on BD format yesterday and I liked it, but did not love it. There's nothing wrong with this film per say but I wasn't blown away by it. I rented it in BD format because I thought the visuals would be nice but not really.
What I did like about it is it's portrayal of rural America and the sensibilities of the people who live there. Very well done!. It's all about Natural Gas 'Fracking' and the industry trying to get the rights to 'Frack' and extract Natural Gas from properties in rural America. Matt Damon does a great job in his role of the Global sales spokesman. The ending takes on a nice sinister twist!!.
