My dad bought this the other day. It's one of his favorite movies and mine too. Anyway, if you like the movie, the picture and sound on this Bluray is excellent and the picture fills the whole high-def screen. It just makes this great movie all that more of an immersive experience. Also, the depth charges don't disappoint if you got good subwoofers.

by David MeekJust thought I'd warn you. The Superbit DVD of Das Boot has only the German soundtrack in DTS. The English version is DD 5.1. Personally, on this movie I don't care. I've seen the English version enough that I watch it in German with subtitles now. Can't wait to here this in DTS - wow!
