    Clive Barker

Do any of you enjoy Clive Barker's books???
If so some of his excellent books are in the works as movies! Three of them are: the Damnation Game, the Theif of Always (great kids story) and Weaveworld.
All very good books, hopefully they will translate well to the big screen...Kenny

I haven't read any of his books, but have enjoyed films made from his earlier efforts. It's about time I read a novel or two so I'll pick up one of the titles you mentioned.

All three are good, but I'd start with Weaveworld, I think it's a wonderful story that should make a great movie.

Jackie Chan explains a stunt in Police Story
          by oldbob
I first met Jackie on "Cannonball Run". He had a very minor role and I don't believe he could speak any English at that time. However, he is such a natural born clown he had everybody laughing the little bit of time he was on the set. At that time I had never seen a Jackie Chan movie. Later...

Movie versions of books (or vice versa)
          by Chris D
This may be a good discussion. The topic is popular books that have been made into movies. By and large, my personal opinion is that movie renditions of good books fall far short for a few reasons. First, I think due to the media of print, books allow for a much more thorough immersion of the reader...

          Uncle Clive's name changed
          by Kevin P
Per Clive's request, his user name has been changed from "Uncle Clive" to just "Clive". This change automatically reflects in his posts, but some places on the site (such as last post in a forum or thread) may still say Uncle Clive until someone posts in that forum or thread....

Clive, our friend and Guide Administrator
          by Lex
Today, I received an email from Clive's wife. Clive asked her to update us. I was completely out of the loop. I had no idea that October 25, Uncle Clive had a pacemaker put in. I am not sure I was supposed to share this. But since Clive is our friend, I felt an obligation to put him in the HTG thought...
