What movies and specifically what segments of them are your go tos for showing off your home theater sound to guests?

I can't remember off the top of my head where, but some scenes in Master and Commander are pretty ridiculous for both impact and little nuances... -
"War of the worlds" when the aliens come up out of the ground!!. OMG.....my daughter was asleep upstairs at the time and I'm sure her bed was vibrating and rolling across the floor from the utterly unbelievable low bass frequencies from that scene !!.Dan Madden :TComment

Of course most people think that by nature an optical cable for your 5.1 or 2 channel audio is automatically best because it's "DIGITAL." But in this end of the market (the end this forum is built and based on.) I've seen more arguments against this thinking.

I recently bought the TOS original movie set on BD and have started watching them. I'll add to this post each time I watch another one to give a quick review. I think the set is a pretty good value ($80/6 BDs + bonus disc).
