Wrong section, probably should go in the tower of power section.

Anyways I know lots of people that stream without issue and I think just about any device out there can do it very well.

I stream Netflix, using the small Roku box (the original one...looks like there are a few new options these days). The streaming works pretty well, but there are definitely some limitations. For instance, the movie selection is fairly slim compared to their overall collection of discs. Also, Netflix still only provides two channels of audio, though the box supports 5.1 (apparently you can get 5.1 when you use the box to access amazon rentals). As for the picture, many of the movies are available in HD, but it's just 720p.

So, it's a great solution when you're between discs or whatever, but I still much prefer the real thing (i.e., blu-ray disc).

I have a HTPC but i'd probably go the PS3 route if I didn't want the bother/flexibility of a PC.

The new AppleTV streams NetFlix beautifully.

That's what I thought. I'll stick to a simpler set up.

Oh crap, Chris. : Now you've done it! Since I picked up my Opus4 music server a year or go ago I've been dreaming of the same thing for DVD and Blu-Ray. So much for being over "upgrade-itis". Sheesh, I'm going to need at least 6 TB, too....

Actually the 4800 looks like just the thing although the gui on the 9800 might make it worth the extra $.
