I love football films, and though there is not a great deal of football on screen in The Blind Side, the story and the performances of the actors really grabbed me. As most of you are probably aware, The Blind Side is based on a best selling book by Michael Lewis and tells the story of how a rich southern lady takes a homeless young black African American under her roof. The young man in real life is Michael Oher, who today is a football offensive tackle in the NFL. How he gets there, and how the southern family who took him in affects his life, and how he affects theirs is just something that will surely make you feel good about people and life in general. Quinton Aaron is fabulous as Oher, and Sandra Bullock's performance as the feisty southern lady is great and deserving of her Oscar. Tim McGraw, who I really liked is Friday Night Lights, shows some acting chops as the southern dad.
All in all, a really nice film that went into my Blu-ray collection. The PQ is excellent, as you'd expect in hi-def, and the audio, had some good low end grunts during football sequences.
A big :T
