Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Rented this today from Blockbuster on Blu-Ray.

Definitely worth mentioning to the crowd here. It was the most original, well-done animated movie I've seen in a while. Always have to compare to the "Pixar quality standard"--this one doesn't QUITE match up, but is pretty darn close. Good animation, GREAT original story plot, good character voicing, good pacing of the movie. Great to have one I can fully recommend for the whole family.

I understand that this was shown in 3D in some theaters. I'll be buying this eventually, and I'm not sure if there's any 3D features with the full package. Quite a few well-known voice actors in it.

Having a 3.5y/o at home, we get to (think have to) watch all kinds of kid friendly movies. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is one that I don't mind seeing fairly often. The humorous random bits from the main character’s eccentric behavior help keep the movie from getting old…for the first 10 viewings.

Haven't seen this one (yet--with an 8 and a 4 year old, I'm sure it's in my future).
