    hello all,

    this bluray rocked my system. it was the first disc played on the oppo bd-83.
    story just okay but the sound & picture quality :E
    i may have to purchase this baby. if the neighbors are home, your subwoofer
    may piss them off.

          June, my dad bought that recently had about the same take on it.

          My dad really likes Tim Burton's, "The Corpses Bride" which also has outstanding picture and sound, and a great story. I haven't seen either, but plan to.

                  Budget sub for my dad!

                  Dad finally asked me to build him a sub. Been searching around but I don't know what's considered the best thing going on right now. Budget is under $500 for everything.

                  Been looking at the BASH amps but also some Nady/Behringer pro audio stuff. Not sure what's the best deal in this...

                  Having recently purchased an Oppo BD83NE, I can now enjoy a few hybrid SACD's that I own.
                  The Oppo has the ability to output DSD or convert it to PCM through the HDMI input but unfortunately the SSP800 does not process DSD streams.
