I got this the other day but havent watched em yet. After reading your post, popped them all in and they all loaded up fine on my Panny BD35. Ultimatum took a little longer than the other two to load but they all loaded up and played fine (at least through the first few scenes). I really liked how they have the disc load up straight into the menu... so tired of having 6-7 previews and other junk to sift through on other movies.

Thats a Universal thing, and something i really miss about HD DVD. IMO commercials and previews should be on the main menu if you choose to watch then Disney is the worst when it comes to previews.

Every now and then I rent a Blu-ray from Blockbuster that won't play... that is until I take a Kleenex, wet it and wash the disc, then dry it carefully. Be sure to wipe from the center to the edge. Blockbuster rental discs are notorious ( here anyway ) of not cleaning their discs and many come loaded with greasy thumbprints or scuff marks. I now clean every disc I rent and have not had a problem since on my BD30 and/or BD35. BTW, my own copies of Bourne play fine on my Panny BD35.

George - Blockbuster should let you rent for free, cleaning their discs for them!

+1. If I wanted to watch commercials before the movie, I'd go to the movie theater.

Yeah, I totally agree. I use the chapter skip button until I reach the main menu. Most of the Warner titles will take you directly to the movie and I love that.

Yeah... definitely not a fan of discs cluttered up by ads.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I don't like big animated menus that take a long time before the animation is finished and it allows you to control the menu and make a selection. While it's moderately cute, I'd rather just be able to choose what I want and press on. I didn't buy the disc for the menu, I bought it for the movie.

Unless, of course, the menu contains a nice collage of Jennifer Connolly in hi-def. Then I won't mind the extra wait.

Meanwhile, Dark City, Hulk (2003), Dark Water, Blood Diamond and The Day the Earth Stood Still ( 2008 ) will have to suffice, for now, for Jennifer in hi-def glory. There are so many more titles that deserve a BD just because she's in them. We should start a petition... ;x( :T

I recall seeing Jennifer in a film on tv back when she was much younger. I only vaguely recall it but it involved the robbery of a Target department store. Anyway, she was wearing a tight sweater and pants through much of the movie and she was sooooo easy on the eyes. Anyone recall the name of that movie ? I'd love to see it ( er, her ) again.
