After graduating from Emory University in 1992, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless abandoned his possessions, gave his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters who shape his life.

Nominated for 2 Oscars. Another 7 wins & 29 nominations.

Although the movie is 148 minutes long and one does tend to get bored inbetween but since its based on the life of Christoper, its justifiable.

Must watch it once. :T

I watched it and thought it was pretty good. Not sure I'd watch it more then once though.

I just watched it and think it's great. Some fantastic cinematography and loved Eddie Vedder's soundtrack.

It is kind of slow paced, but I was never bored.
