Death Proof - Kurt Russell

Hi

I am thinking of going and seeing this film Death Proof, is it any good?

Also have you seen the film, and how would you rate it?

I find myself strangely drawn to Tarantino's work so it was a no brainer when I purchased Death Proof yesterday. The movie is probably a no brainer too :rofl: , but like I said, I am drawn to Tarantino, and Kurt Russell is a favorite actor of mine. I haven't watched it yet, but maybe tonight I'll cook up a batch of popcorn and spin the flick.

Well I watched it and it is not one of Taratino's best, that's for sure. In fact there are too many talking heads and too little action. But when there is action, look out. The car chase scenes are jaw dropping and the audio will rock your room. Kurt Russell is pretty good as the sleazy maniac and there are some pretty gals to look at. But the film is too long, and as I mentioned earlier, much too talky.

The film has the look and feel of one of those 1970's drive-in sexploitation films, including the scratches and audio jumps from film breaks. Cute but annoying.

Even if you are a Tarantino fan, like me, you may want to rent this before deciding on a purchase.
