I saw it in the theater and liked it. Tough call between that and the illusionist. I really like edward norton though.

I haven't seen either of the films mentioned as yet but will likely rent first and buy the one I like best.

Liked it to the core, its one of those movies that I wouldnt want to miss for even a second. Apart from them, even I was trying to figure out how they did the trick .

I definitely loved this movie. Some may not like it because they don't buy into a few important plot lines, but personally, it was a great guessing game until the end.

I watched both The Illusionist and The Prestige. They are both very good movies, The Illusionist more of a love story (great date movie), where as The Prestige is more revenge oriented.

I liked them both, however I enjoyed The Prestige more, due to it's more intriguing twist and turns. I will have to watch The Prestige again to determine the little nuisances I may have missed.

                Watch out for the turns.

I did not like it as much as some of you guys. The revenge and all seemed a little tedious after a while.Plus,I couldn't buy into the sci-fi aspect.
We watched the Illusionist last weekend, and enjoyed it a great deal more than this film.
That film entertained me more, with much less...guess I'm just a simple guy.
                  Although,I did enjoy the twists....

I'm very much into the sci-fi stuff. I liked how there really was some sort of magic to The Prestige while in The Illusionist it was all logical and what not and then they showed you how everything was done in the end...but again both were great movies and some of the best movies I have actually purchased this year.

Rented The Prestige and after watching The Illusionist as well, I'd have to say they were both pretty well done. But neither have that rewatch appeal for me.

Found the Prestige lacking in depth as far as intrigue went. It had a rather superficial and to a degree, predictable plot. It was unfortunate that the movie did not capture the hardiness of the era. I agree, not a re watch movie.

Watched the Prestige over the weekend. Rented the blu-ray disc, and both the picture and sound were fantastic (especially the sound with the 'lightening' machine in action). Plot did wear a bit thin, as some have said, but I did find the movie entertaining for sure. Liked the sub-plot of the competition between Edison and Tesla.

Saw it Saturday. A Compelling, intriguing sleuth by all means. Superb character development, wonderful acting, and good FX, as in not over the top and believable. Michael Caine was his typically fabulous self, but IMHO, David Bowie stole the show.

I laughed for five minutes after the end as all the pieces of the puzzle dropped into place. Very entertaining and clever.

I finally got to The Prestige in my Netflix queue. It was an enjoyable enough movie, especially the portion dealing with Angier and Tesla. Good production standards abound even though the plot does get a bit too clever toward the end. I'm a fan of Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale both and neither disappoint, although David Bowie does steal every scene he's in.

And yes, the "generator" scenes do give your theater equipment some exercise. :T

Not a keeper for now, but definitely worthy of a rental. I'll give it :3: out of :5:.
