I have never been much of a Will Ferrell fan but I have to admit I really enjoyed this film. Aside from some great NASCAR track stuff, there is one sexy lady ( Leslie Bibb ) who plays Ferrell's wife, Gary Cole who is sensational as Ferrell's dad, and a hundred or more oneliners that cracked me up. Certainly worth a rental.

I've seen some very widespread opinions on this one. Personally, I really didn't like it. It crossed the line from silly to just dumb IMHO. There were some funny lines/scenes, but I just couldn't get into the fun mood to laugh and enjoy the flick. It came free with my PS3, and I'm almost thinking about just giving it away. (very poor quality Blu-Ray disc, too) Sony really missed the mark packaging this one with the PS3.

As a "film" it stunk. I laughed my @$$ off through the whole movie-and I don't care for NASCAR or Will Ferrel. :T I can think of many 120 minute chunks of my life that weren't that fun.Lee

Just how wonderfully versatile an actor John Travolta really is. This is a little ( independent) film that also stars Scarlet Johannsen. Got a feeling Travolta did this for next to nothing just to play the part of Bobby Long, a character you won't quickly forget.

How are sound engineers able to take different sounds (voices/instruments) coming from the L/R channels and place them in various spots across the soundstage? I guess this is called "imaging" but they might as well call it magic to me....
