A very quiet, very powerful and accurate look at how Edward R Murrow took on Senator McCarthy and the price he( Murrow )eventually paid. George Clooney directs magnificently. It's in B&W and rightly so as it mixes well with orginial B&W tv newscasts of the various McCarthy hearings on who was or who wasn't a communist.

This is also an excellent look at early television and how news shows were produced. CBS was certainly the leader at the time.

Good movie, I saw it last night and quite enjoyed it, loved the whole cigarette thing, very funny to see that in today’s anal climate.

just saw this last week - great movie....

i think it was very daring since this movie could have easily been really boring and dry if they did not do it right.

the sound track is also great - just picked it up tonight.

I totally agree, Nick. A really good watch, but once is enough.
