    Polar Express

    Rented it...

This film went for the uber-real animation which tries to simulate reality. People are difficult to do this with, and a few characters weren't up to par, whereas others were jaw dropping. Some of the voices were poorly matched too.

Suprisingly it had some serious bass-laden scenes which had the floor shaking.

If I had kids I'd own it, but the film was a bit too "G" for repeated viewing even though I love CG animation.

Worth atleast a rent for seasonal spirit. :3: out of :5:

I know Christmas is over this year, but I was so impressed with this experience that I wanted to share it with everybody.

First, this is not a critique of the "Polar Express" movie. It's been out long enough now that you've probably seen it and have already formed an opinion...

      Hi,
I've decided to build a dipole speaker (15"driver in H-frame, 10" on winged baffle)with 1" compession driver+WG (around 12" diameter) according to Dr. Geddes theory.
I have built a test baffle and measured drivers. So I assume xo freq to compression drive in...

Yes I know measuring is the right way to go and I will be measuring the following parameters shortly, but I want to see how close theory and reality are to each other and also want to do a bit of a check on my measurements.

So, does anyone have the equations for estimating:
      a)...

Simplified polar data generating in VituixCAD
      by Reet
I wrote this document this morning, detailing a simplified process for generating off-axis data in VituixCAD. This process allows for use of measured on-axis data to generate simulated off-axis data with a good degree of accuracy. This process may be useful for "quick simulation" without the...
