IMHO Team America was:

Mindless,
Obscene,
Disrespectful,
Yet… Very Funny :alol: (you have to appreciate that the producers accepted the limitations of puppetry and just went with it)
Excellent picture quality (reference quality that rivals the best, even superbit!)
Very good / Excellent sound quality.

Overall,
Movie quality: :3:
Video quality: :5: ;x(
Sound quality: :45:

(IMHO: It is not a movie for the serious, squeamish, easliy offended, or those under adult age!!)

Yes... Obscene puppetry with fantastic sets. That just about sums it up.

When I posted this thread I thought, "I'll probably hear from George about this one." From reading your previous posts, I get the impression that this was not going to be your type of movie. Do you like Monty Python? Specifically, "The Meaning of Life"? If not, this movie is not for you... unless you want to ignore what goes on in the movie and just be entertained by the puppetry and the sets.

It was created by the people of "South Park", and has the same warped humor. I liked the "thunderbirds" as a kid, and is likely the reason I could appreciate this DVD.

Got ya. I like some of the Monty Python stuff but wasn't all that thrilled with The Meaning Of Life. Still, Team America does pique my interest a bit. Thanks for the post.

Definetly a political film with an interesting perspective. :P

No matter your affiliation, this is a great comedy with a ballsy & fairly original filming style for this day and age. I thought it was well worth the rent.

The puppet sex was definetly funny, culminating in vomit-inducing fetishes that had me turning green.

The vomit scene was the funniest thing I've seen in months.

South Park meets the Thunderbirds.Loved it.The attention to detail of the puppets and the sets was mind blowing. :TPlus picture and sound were both reference quality.
