    SecondHand Lions

    Rented It.

Absolutely spectacular. This was easily the best movie I've seen in the past couple years. I wish I had have bought it when it came out. Everything about this film was spot on. I've seen alot of spectacular films lately. Ray, The Aviator, and now Secondhand Lions.

    Can't say enough.

I agree 100%. We caught it on HBO and found it used shortly afterwords. Great movie, thanks for posting this I have been meaning to say something about this movie for a while.

I rank it up there with Ray and the Aviator as three of the best in a long while.

That is a good movie Nick, just watched it again a couple weeks ago and it is in the permanent collection.

Pretty funny when the crate door opens .

Those old geezers and their guns... :k>....gotta love that.

How about when the boy was sipping his soda on the porch that hot summer day and the relatives were visiting :rf

Yes, this is a classic. The relationship between Michael Caine and Robert Duvall is dead-on. I've had the pleasure to know several older great-uncles that were very much like the two characters shown in the movie. Gruff, standoffish, but underneath the warmest, kindest men you'd ever have the pleasure of meeting. Once you got past that, the fishing and farming and tall tales told were wonderful. Unfortunately none of mine had millions stashed in the barn. :

        Good one, Nicholas! :T

PS. I loved the bi-plane. :yesnod:

I kept passing this one on the rental shelf because I wasn't sure I'd like it. Think I will rent it after all.

Great Movie. This is one of the best flicks Ive seen lately. Phenomenal job casting and scoring. A must see.

Some people don't like Leonardo, but I don't think people give him enough credit. Films like "Whats Eating Gilbert Grape" and "The Aviator" are testaments...

It was THE YOUNG LIONS. released in 1958, it is based on a novel by Irwin Shaw. It was a bestseller in its time, and the film was hot at the boxoffice. It stars a young Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift, and Dean Martin. It is more about character development and doesn't have a lot of actual war action...

Blu-ray makes big profits for Lions Gate
                by George Bellefontaine
This story is about Lions Gate and the profit it is making of catalogue titles and new releases but I'm sure the situation applies to all studios. I won't expect to see lower priced new releases any time soon. Read the story here:
