    Bourne Supremacy DVD

I'm a little surprised to not see a thread on this already...

    Anyway here goes.
Having liked the first one(surprised me), then this was a no brainer. This one I would say I liked almost as much as the first. It adds more depth to the story and the action is wonderful if not a bit odd. The hand held camera stuff gets old after a while and would make a few people sick but I ignored that.

Overall a stellar action movie that doesn't insult you. Bond should take notes.

Picture: Was great to average at times. Sometimes it appeared a bit soft. Overall a decent disc.

Sound: Great sound but a bit flat. Perhaps I was spoiled by the first movies sound mix. NO DTS option here. Dissapointed but I'll live. I just cranked it up more :T

Extras: pretty good thus far. I'll report back later on those.

Possibly one of the greatest car chase sequences in a movie. Good plot and plenty of actions make this a highly enjoyable movie. I bought it as soon as it became available. SQ and PQ are also above average.

I made it to nearly that Damon-Urban showdown in Moscow and had to stop as it was getting late. But everything up to was dandy. Audio-wise, the quiet scenes are really soft, but the mix comes alive when the action ramps up. In the apartment fight, the sounds of objects breaking and crashing around them were ultra-realistic, like they were really occuring in my room. Then, there was the S-Bahn escape. The rumbling of the trains in front, behind, and on the sides was utterly enveloping. Will finish tomorrow.

Shane, I viewed this last night and was about to do one of my mini reviews when I saw your post. I pretty much agree with your comments, though I have to say, I liked this one a little more than the first, possibly because you get a chance to delve into Bourne's character a little more and find that he is more than a cold blooded killer. However, I wasn't too crazy about all that quick cutting during some of the action and fight scenes. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was hitting who. But that car chase through Moscow was something to behold. Terrific surround track, too.

          I like Identity's apartment fight over Supremacy's.

A good sequel to The Bourne Identity. I thought the beginning was a bit slow, and could have been edited/changed around/shortened. Naples Customs scene was great, along with the apartment fight and explosion. The beginning of the Moscow chase seemed like a 2nd rate rip-off of Ronin. I did like the ending of the chase though which was jaw-dropping. Reminded me of a cross between Spy Game and Ronin, but not as good as either. Good flick though. I'll be keeping the DVD.

I enjoyed the first one, but enjoyed the second one even more and I'm kind of hoping there's even a third one.

Keith, there is a third Bourne book by Robert Ludlum, The Bourne Ultimatum. We can hope that there will be a final movie (with Matt Damon, of course) to round out the series - even though they are only moderately tied to the stories in the books.

I would be willing to bet pretty good money we'll see the Bourne Ultimatum disc.. and a forthcoming boxset of all 3 releases.

The second builds on the momentum of the first. Fantastic action but...

The director loves the handheld camera and he forgot to turn the motion stabilizers on. This movie carries a blinding pace and dizzying action sequences....and I don't mean that metaphorically....

coming July 23 I think. A followup to the Bourne Identity. Should be pretty good maybe.

Matt Damon as an action hero ? I never thought so until I watched him in Bourne Idenity. It's about a spy out in the cold who has lost his memory but not his instincts for survival as those who employed him now want him dead.
Excellent suspense and action throughout, especially a nerve shattering...

I thought "The Bourne Identity" was okay, not as good as I'd hoped, but not horrible, just didn't have enough bite to it. Matt Damon is okay as Jason Bourne. I found Franka Potente endearing in her role. Bourne is definitely a badass, even if it's just reflex kicking in when he needs the moves....

Okay, now, let's be honest. Out of today's crop of actors, who does the action hero better than Bruce Willis ? In Tears Of The Sun he is at his best. At first portraying a tough Navy Seal, but who later breaks his own rules and gets involved by going against orders....
