    Ultimate Matrix - Reviews?

Any reviews on how the new transfer sounds/looks with the first movie? I heard a DTS version is not available --- only Dolby Digital. I'm looking for some new demo material. Thanks!

Picked up my copy yesterday, along with the Extended edition Box set of LOTR. Just threw Matrix in and it is only DD, no DTS. Looks ans sounds pretty bloody good, though I am comparing it to a grey version that I originally had. Dissappointed it doesnt have DTS. Most annoying thing about it was the short advertising for Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast here in Australia when you first load the disc. I dont like paying for advertisements. Intereste to see what they have on in the US.

DTS is NOT available on these discs. Warner = NO DTS anymore. No advertising on the discs in the US.

I'm personally waiting for the SE of the first one to be released seperately otherwise the editions of the last 2 films will do considering how little I respect them in comparison to the original which is leagues better.

I picked up the Matrix boxset and the ROTK EE yesterday. The new transfer of the original Matrix was the only thing I wanted in that $60. The PQ is really good, just like the Reloaded and Revolution, whether it's worth $60 is up to you. The ROTK on the other hand was worth every penny to me. The surrounds in that movie was surreal! With the extra scenes it's like watching a brand new movie again, well, almost.

          Interesting you mentioned ROTK...

Thanks Blaze! I'm still debating if I want to pay that much for one movie. I didn't like the other two or Animatrix.

I've been contemplating on getting the new ROTK because it is in DTS vs. Dolby Digital. Wonderin' how much better the scenes with the giant elephants sound in DTS.

I'm probably going to buy the whole set (again) because of the DTS availability. I have all three, but the original DVD releases.

I now have the FOTR and ROTK for EE. There's extra scenes in all 3 EEs. I still don't have the 2 Towers yet, but I'll get it soon.

              DTS/ES Matrix Question
              by goldear
Hi guys...I could use some help if you've got the time. On my old Halo C2, I could engage THX Ultra2 when I listened in "direct" mode from DTS/ES Matrix. While the default value is "Matrix" for ES encoded Matrix discs and Ultra2 can't be applied, by switching to Direct I could engage...
