    Love it or Leave it...Star Wars Trailer News

    Update in the last post!
    ==================

    Interesting...
    They show the vader money shot in the teaser description....so I'm sure that'll send fans in a frenzy...

    http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=5595
    Confirming what we had suspected for some time, Cinescape is reporting today that the first trailer for STAR WARS, EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH will debut in theaters on November 5th in front of prints for THE INCREDIBLES. The trailer won't be attached (Pixar's next film CARS has that honor) but will be shipped with prints of the film and a suggestion that theater owners run them together. Considering the length of the movie and how many other trailers are vying for time in front of the film, it's not guaranteed the ROTS trailer will run before all showings of THE INCREDIBLES. If you're going, I'd suggest calling your local theater up beforehand to ask before you find yourself let down. Cinescape adds the trailer, which reportedly jibes with the online description, will also premiere the night before, on November 4th, on "Access Hollywood." Exact details on when it would hit the web weren't known but expect it to be available for Hyperspace members on the 4th and then to the general public on the 5th. Posters and other marketing material are expected to be shipped around the same time as the trailer but don't expect to see the "banner" that popped up online. Cinescape's source says that was "an abandoned concept photo."

            What format are they in? WMP and IE don't seem to recognize them. Are they Quicktime?

                  Got it... I installed QT onto my laptop (didn't want to pollute my work PC any more than it already is) and watched it. Can't wait for 5/19/05 now!

                    I finally downloaded the low-res version. Cool! The shot of Anakin/Vader peering out from under a cloak with the Sith eyes is VERY groovy. Can't wait either!

                    If anybody finds a higher-res version whose site stays up or new teasers, please post!

                      The SW movies have always had great trailers, and this is no exception. I just hope the movie lives up to the trailer.

                        Another thing to note - Cartoon Network ran a series of twenty 5 minute animated segments entitled "The Clone Wars" which detailed a lot of the action between epsiodes II and III. While certainly not a necessary prerequisite to the finale, they help fill in a lot of the character slide that results in Vader. They will be out on DVD some time a bit before the film. Worth a rent (or a buy) IMO. They were animated by the group that does 'Samurai Jack' and had replacement voice talent, but were still pretty enjoyable. There were some introductions to upcoming characters, and further fleshing out of minor characters encountered in Ep I and II also.

                        A must for big fans and a nice to have for regular fans.

                        They can also be found (viewed) online I believe.

                                          Star Wars fans lined up at New York City's famous Ziegfeld theatre on Wednesday, a day before the first showing of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.
