So Ebert and Roeper gave an early review on Matrix last night

Summarized, as it was okay as a full on action sci-fi movie (nice to hear). It has an unexpected moment (and showed Neo with that bandage around his eyes...I'm guessing he goes blind at some moment) but doesn't really get back to the cool concepts it opened with in the 1st Matrix. They said there's nothing as big as the freeway chase :? (where's the big sci-fi action they were talking about?). But it does do better than reloaded. It answers some questions but not all.

So we shall see. They were sort of thumbs up but not overly enthusisatic. They actually sounded let down in a way.

Interesting... although that doesn't really tell me too much. Much like Star Wars, there is SO much anticipation and such a high standard to live up to, that I think it would be extremely, extremely difficult to make a film that makes almost everyone ecstatically happy. I'm glad to hear that they weren't bagging on it or anything.

I've got tickets to the first showing at the Seattle IMAX theater, 6 AM. It's going to be an early, early morning. But that's what this vacation is for!

Well, I just returned from an 8:30 a.m. showing of "Revolutions". I must agree with Ebert & Roeper on this one. It answers a few questions but, leaves the door wide open on others. From what I gathered from it's ending, the series ain't done yet. 8O

The theater presented it in DTS and I must say, it was glorious!!! I left with a slight headache from the bass pounding that I took. And the attack on Zion was very well done imo.

Don't want to say too much as it is still quite early but, it was enjoyable!

DTS can't hold a candle to IMAX. If you've got the option, see it in IMAX.

Both Ebert and Roeper both leaving "At the Movies" with Ebert and Roeper

Boy, this is sad. "Ebert and Roeper" is one of only two shows that I record for watching every week. I've always appreciated the opinions and insight given on that show, especially from Roger Ebert, who I very much respect as a critic.

Hi guys...I could use some help if you've got the time. On my old Halo C2, I could engage THX Ultra2 when I listened in "direct" mode from DTS/ES Matrix. While the default value is "Matrix" for ES encoded Matrix discs and Ultra2 can't be applied, by switching to Direct I could engage...
