Okay...so it's based on a theme ride (loosely).
It does seem to have a competent cast. I'm not sure. What do you all think. We haven't had a pirate movie since, what, CutThroat Island???

Just having Johnny Depp makes this one a "need to see" in my book. You may not always (or ever) like his work, but you've got to admit his films are always interestingly different.

After reading up on it at IMDB, it doesn't sound like a comedy. Very action-adventure-ish.

Yo ho ho, I'm thinking it will be Armageddonish...well, not that over the top.

Action/Adventure laced with comedy. Even the great Indiana Jones had humourous moments. I'm kinda looking forward to this. I'll echo David. Johnny Depp has made some interesting choices along the way...each movie is definitely unique.
