I'm not sure about X2 or Matrix, but I will look forward to T3 and LOTR. One of these two just might get into the local cineplex. Yukkk.

Since summer is virtually year-round here in Houston, any blockbuster that shows up in the commercial theaters can be counted as a "summer" release. :>) I'm sure that I'll see more than these, but the ones I'm really anticipating the most are Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (LOTR: ROTK) and The Matrix 2 & 3.
Given the high quality of the first two movies in the LOTR trilogy, the fact that all three were filmed together, and Peter Jackson's assurance that the best is yet to come, I'm already pretty sure that LOTR: ROTK will be outstanding. In fact, I'm looking forward to rewatching the first two on DVD (the extended editions) to get ready to check out ROTK in a commercial theater. Might even hit the midnight opening show for ROTK --doing that was a lot of fun for The Two Towers last December.
I also have high hopes for the Matrix sequels -- the first one was SO good, and effects so imitated already by others, they have a lot to live up to. But the trailers are pretty exciting -- I'm willing to give the movies a look-see without waiting to read the reviews.

For me, the final chapter of LOTR's is a MUSSSSTTTTTTTT see. Can't wait. Is it coming out this summer or in December??? After that, it would be the followup to Xmen. I thought I'd hate the first one, but ended up loving it. Matrix II worries me. I hope they have thought behind it, rather than just trying to one up the first as far as special effects. Special effects without a good story and characters leaves me totally flat. Let's hope that the sequel achieves in both arenas.

Return Of The King is a December release. Mr. Jackson is nothing if not consistent.
I'm trying desperately NOT to go in to Reloaded and Revolutions with any pre-conceived ideas as to quality and the like. I wan't to enjoy these as much as the first, and I don't want to add my own expectations to the load. I hope I can do it. . . .
