    The Transporter

Rule One: Never change the deal.
    Rule Two: No names
Rule Three: Never look in the package.

Ah rules, they seem to need breaking all the time, don't they? Well I guess, if no one broke any rules, then we'd have no movie.

The transporter is a simple action movie, first act, establish the main character, Frank, played by the new action star Jason Statham. He's got a trick BMW and he likes to keep it clean. Oh, and don't be changing rule one on him cause he don't like that.

Second act, while on the job, he just has to break one of his rules. Aww, at least we then see the asian beauty Lai, played Chinese star Shu Qi. I'm glad she doesn't have much to say.

Rest of the film is about how to get out of the mess.

As far as action films go, this reminds me of the one's back in the 80's lots of guns and explosions. There's really only one good car chase, and that's in the beginning.

If you're an action junkie, then go see this, you won't be disappointed. IF you like a bit more plot and several great car chases, then go watch Ronin.

Hmmmmm, my son (age 17) said the same thing. All action no plot.
If he said no plot there must be NO PLOT.

      The Transporter
      by David Meek

I finally got around to watching The Transporter this weekend. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it a lot. Jason Statham plays Frank Martin, an ex-military guy that has "retired" to the coast of France. In truth, he's a "transporter" - he'll take...

      For action, try this:

      THE TRANSPORTER

This is a Franco/Asian production and Luc Besson is ( I believe) an executive producer. It stars Jason Statham ( who the heck is he ?) as an ultra-cool ex-military enigmatic fellow who hires himself out as a transporter of various,...

      Handy Speaker Placement "Rules"
      by David Meek
      Hi all,

Here are a couple of quick and dirty "rules" that I've used off and on for years when it comes to the initial placement of speakers in a room. They are the "Rule Of Thirds" and the "Rule Of Fifths".

The Rule Of Thirds is used by dividing...

      TEARS OF THE SUN

Okay, now, let's be honest. Out of today's crop of actors, who does the action hero better than Bruce Willis ? In Tears Of The Sun he is at his best. At first portraying a tough Navy Seal, but who later breaks his own rules and gets involved by going against orders....
