Did a (sadly all too) rare thing today--a whole family movie outing. Fewer and fewer occasions to do so with kids getting older. We went to see Yesterday. Nice, light little movie with an interesting premise--a less than successful singer/songwriter suffers a "bumpus of the nogginus" (old Flintstones medical term :B ) during a weird, worldwide electrical blackout and wakes up to find no one has any idea who the Beatles were--except him. You should watch to find out what happens next. Lots of laughter (mostly gentle), a bit of soul-searching (not very deep, but along the lines of "what would you do if you found a giant bag of cash?") and a charming cameo of sorts. A very family friendly movie (though perhaps not too interesting to anyone under 12). Quite British in tone, though, if that's an issue.
All in all, highly recommended. :T:T
