    War for the Planet of the Apes

    Just a quick note: If you've liked the other two recent Apes movies, this one should be well up your alley. The effects are nothing short of remarkable and the film works both as a conclusion to a trilogy and an invitation to explore other themes in this film universe. Well worth seeing if you're a fan.

    An enjoyable take that pays subtle but respectful little homages to the original films (and borrows, appropriately, from Conquest of the Planet of the Apes). A worthy modern take on the franchise. Fans of the original (as I am) should find this agreeable.
