    Les Paul-Chasing Sound!

Just watched a PBS show about Les Paul. Wow. Remarkable story about a remarkable man. Watching him play at 90 , and his list of accomplishments and contributions to music and recording , leaves me sitting here in slack-jawed amazement. If anyone gets a chance to watch this , please do. Seeing icons such as B.B. King , Jeff Beck , Paul McCartney and Eddie Van Halen express their gratitude to , and respect for , him is inspiring.
The show is available on hulu (free) at the moment. It's worth an hour and a half. The show's title is this thread's title. I'm giving it :T :T :T :T :T

Definitely be interested in checking that out! The Les Paul guitar is one that I've wanted for quite a while and definitely my favorite as far as sound is concerned.

It covers a lot interesting stuff. The story of his inventing multi-track recording , and overdubbing , was fun to watch. Along with the record cutting machine he kept in his motel room to take demos across the street to Capitol Records! He still has it! Good stuff. The only down side is the limited time for each person's commentary-so many were influenced-that I was left wanting more. I guess that's good show business.

$23 is a fairly high price but worth it in this case.

I checked, and already had it in my Netflix queue. Gotta work my way through that thing...
