If 1939 was the Golden Year of Movies then I'm declaring 2010 as the year of Lead. Just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more, Bob. More stinkers than I can remember.Originally posted by BobIf 1939 was the Golden Year of Movies then I'm declaring 2010 as the year of Lead. Just my opinion.- Bottom

Oh come on now. It's still just mid-year. With great efforts like:
Bitch Slap
The Tooth Fairy
Clash Of The Titans
Jonah Hex
how can you say that Bob? :B
I'll throw Machete on that pile even though the only thing I have to go on is the trailer. I think I'm safe though..

Even though there have been a bunch of stinkers this year, there were some that I felt pretty good about:
Avatar
Green Zone
Iron Man II

I'll have to agree, so far not very many good products. My own opinion, I didn't much care for Iron Man II or Green Zone, (see my reviews on those if interested) and thought that Avatar had problems, so I can't think of ANYTHING this year that has really grabbed me yet.
Oh, maybe Toy Story 3. Thought that was pretty good.

I liked Green Zone and I have high hopes for Robin Hood, which should be released soon on Blu-ray.- Bottom

Hey Chris, what did you have in mind? Mindless comedy? SciFi? Mocumentary? Docu-drama? Exploitation film? Combination of all of them?

How about a genre something along the lines of "let's-make-a-movie-that-grosses-10,000%-of-cost-and-generates-merchandising-rights"?

In all seriousness, I'd love to make a movie someday, but I don't have anything particular in mind.
Okay, maybe if it stars Monica Belluci, Christina Hendricks, Julianne Moore, and Jennifer Connelly. That's be a great start. Throw in Sean Connery and Sam Elliot just because those guys are awesome and I'd love to meet them.

by BobWith an average of 200 concert dates per year, Dylan pretty much hits all parts of the country each year. I try to catch him every time he plays in the Los Angeles area and even go to multiple concerts when possible. Every concert is a surprise and every tour always has an exceptional band.

by tktranOut of curiosity, I just ran a few cuts from the Flying Cowboys album through Wavelab, and figured out why it probably causes your average amplifier to clip very regularly, as Bob Cordell showed at last year's RMAF Audio workshops.

by greenhornI liked this movie
It was pretty funny. Jack Black is generally one dimensional and this movie was no exception, but the movie fit his style. Now this is not a classical comedy, but the humor was there consistantly. It was a mix between understated and overstated, generally with a dry and sometime...
