I just happened to watch T3 last night. So I'm in the Terminator mood.

It wasn't bad, it wasn't awesome. I'm not sure what that was.

It retains some of the story correctly, it seems to make up some other.

Still not sure what to think. I'll have to watch tommarow and see.

This show picks up after T2 and skips T3 using a plot device. Not bad so far, but considering the limitations of broadcast TV, it will be interesting to see how it holds up to the films. The violence was strong for a <10:00PM showing and they even handled some nudity with good angles and edits.

I think it shows promise. Okay, I liked it. Looking forward to tonights episode. I'm a simple person. So how does this writers stike affect a new show like this? I guess they had these episodes in the 'can'. But how many?

Have a feeling we'll start seeing a lot of new shows that wouldn't normally make it on the air due to this writers guild strike. They are talking about it lasting through june.... so some of our favorite shows may be late for their next season

It premieres this coming Saturday on Space--our Canadian version of the Sci-Fi network. I'll check it out (as noted, with the strike, the dearth of new stuff is becoming pronounced).

I dig it so far, watching the second part episode right now.

These "robots" (yea yea I know... TERMINATORS :rx ) fighting are actually pretty cool! (thats about all I will way without spoilers)

I started it late last night and stopped it half through thinking I was tired. I then proceeded to watch most of Gremlin's 2 for some strange reason. Guess I wasn't that tired. I'll finish it tonight and see if it gets better.

Like you don't have a stupid movie you just always stop on for some reason..

I realized tonight that I had padded the end time an hour for the first episode (in case the football game ran over). So I stopped it with 15 minutes left. Now granted the last 15 minutes were pretty good, but I'm still holding my judgement until after the second episode.

You really don't want me to like it. That's a guaranteed cancellation. I'm used to it though, same thing happens with any personal care products I like as well.

Also it's on Fox. That usually means cancellation no matter how many like it. It doesn't follow the "Terminator" canon exactly (even if you ignore T3), and I still think the characters are a little weak, but there's an interesting juxtaposition of the robot trying to learn humanity and the humans needing forget theirs.

Terminators don't talk, they kill!! It bother me big time on Monday's show when the Terminator didn't kill her. They killed everyone but Sarah Connor.

***BTW I think The Sarah Connor Chronicles has promise. The girl from Serenity is perfectly casted. One thing that will ruin the show is if John and her start a love interest..which may happen.

Can't watch it. Linda Hamilton was a complete beast in T2. The current SC is a bone farm! I do agree casting Summer Glau is a great idea , I just think Summer Glau is a great idea.... :dancenana:

Well I watched the 2 episodes and its grabbed my attention. I'll give it a whirl. Needed something to watch while waiting for new season of Lost, Californication, Weeds, and Heroes to start Wow.....I think I'm watching too much tv....well now that they are all off season I guess I'm not.

It's not bad, not great but it; as some have pointed out already, is the best thing on right now.

The biggest issue I have right now with this show is the Girl from serenity sure seemed more human like in the classroom before the bad terminator showed up and now she is just stiff and robot like. I don't know, I guess the dramatic change threw me off, I need to get over it.

OK , I watched it tonight. I still don't think whats-her-name has the "presence" Linda Hamilton had in T2. Linda Hamilton's take on the character had a feral , cornered animal aspect that defined the role for me. "Don't poke the tiger , Honey-it's mean" . Has anybody else noticed Ms. Glau seems a little , shall we say , "hippier"? She no longer has that waif-like build she had in Firefly. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

The three main characters went into a bank vault in 1999 and came out in 2007 at the end of the episode.

I'm not sure , but I think they said a new episode would air next week? Does Tuesday sound right? Not sure. I may end up watching the show now because it's available in hi-def and did I mention Summer Glau...? Although of all the Firefly characters to pick for a Terminator I might have chosen Jayne or Gina Torres.

Yeah Firefly was great A bit cheesy but I still loved it. And pretty sure it comes on monday.

I tried to watch this week, but was late to the show, and had a hard time getting involved. The part I saw mostly was they fought off a terminator and "beamed" to a different year or location at end of show. Interestingly, they couldn't take their clothes with them, lol.

That episode was interesting. Summer Glau is a ballet dancer, so I wondered if they wrote the scene specific for her.

This show got much better in the last three or four weeks. I hope it is picked up.

She is rather scary sometimes. When she got out of the traffic system and someone asked her "what did you see" her answer "everything" sent chills down my spine.

Which I don't really blame him for being. If I watched the world end I probably wouldn't trust robots either...
