    Grindhouse??

    Hello All,

Any personal reviews. The wife told me to see this one without her.

Well, I tell you what--just from seeing the ads, it looks like one of the dumbest movies I've heard of in a long time--a chick with a machine gun for a leg? :wtf:

However, this is getting already some OUTSTANDING, very glowing reviews. Tarantino and Miller are good directors, but fairly "niche". It will be interesting to see what they make when put together. This might be another one of their movies that is off-kilter and some like, some hate.

I'll wait until at least video to see it myself. Other movies out or soon to come out that are higher candidates for me to actually go to the theaters, like Spiderman 3.

I guess to be fair, I was channel-surfing last night and stopped for a while to watch the classic cult film "Army of Darkness", where Bruce gets a chainsaw for a hand. Perhaps "Grindhouse" will be something in a similar vein.

I dunno. I'll probably rent it when it comes to dvd. It'll be on one of those evenings when I don't want to tax my brain.

I went to see it. The first thing is whether you like Tarantino movies or others by Rodriguez. If you don't you probably would not like this. I found it to have some interesting techniques, like made up trailers for each movie, film that looked old and scratched, and even missing reals. I did not like it as much as other Tarantino movies or Sin City. It does have a lot of action and blood. There are also some very good stunts in the second movie. While I did not think that it was a great effort, it was entertaining for the most part.
