    V for Vendetta

This one is coming on March 17th, and I for one am waiting with GREAT anticipation. This is by the Wachowski brothers, who made the Matrix series. Starring Natalie Portman for one, this movie should be very interesting, as it seems to be set in a "1984" type future, with a very controlling government, and a terrorist is actually portrayed as a hero.

Should be a very interesting movie provoking some great questions and discussion, especially knowing the Wachowskis.

    Can't wait.

    Chris,

The only thing i'm afraid of is the 6-8 month late release of the film. I saw previews last year of this movie. That's usually a "RED FLAG." But I'll be there on 03/17 to see V.

I think I will go to the movie to see this one, I also await with breathless anticipation. Rottentomatoes has rated this movie at 78%.

      Best regards,

Ditto. An intelligent well made comic book movie doesn't come along very often. The high ratings + the fact the Matrix brothers are behind it = a must see.

Yeah, already getting some good early reviews. I'm leaving Tuesday for another trip, so I'll have to see if I can see this one on the road somewhere. (know of any good movie theaters in the Qatari desert?)

Movie versions of books (or vice versa)
                  by Chris D
This may be a good discussion. The topic is popular books that have been made into movies. By and large, my personal opinion is that movie renditions of good books fall far short for a few reasons. First, I think due to the media of print, books allow for a much more thorough immersion of the reader...

I saw this movie this weekend. I've seen a few different reviews by people, some not all that hot (B-, C+) discussing this as "the new Julia Roberts Movie". And then they complain about how small a role Julia Roberts had in this movie.

Reality reset time, folks. Julia Roberts...

                  finding an old movie
                  by goe2112
                  Hello all,
Just wanted to know if there is a good website that helps people find out the title of an old movie without knowing the title.

Just in case your curious, I'm searching for an older B sci-fi movie. All I remember about this movie is the ending, it takes place on a space...
