Welcome to the forum!
My wife and I tivo it and watch it every week. I generaly watch it seperate for work reasons from my wife and that allows me to skip over much of the non music stuff. I really havent kept up with the Drama surrounding JD. I do watch the comments from the band. Most of the remaining people are ok, but the band is clearly heading in a differant direction than the original lead.
At this point, I am not sure who I like best, I did like Ty, but Ming was fantastic last week.Last edited by Foxman; 22 August 2005, 10:34 Monday.- Bottom

George, haha, me too.
However, I did accidentally start watching this and found it pretty good. First, the host is exquisite, Brooke burke, (hubba hubba), next, they really have some good talent in there singing. So the story goes, one of these people will become a member of INXS.
The ones that are singing are trying to hang on for dear life, so they give it there all to keep from being cut. It's decent viewing. I don't go out of my way for it, but I will watch it if I come across it. Especially Brooke, heh.

Well the "sad" fact is that reality TV is popular. People do Like it otherwise it would go away. The demand is there and the studios are supplying it.
There is some really good reality TV on though. Survivor is good from time to time and Amazing Race is outstanding.- Bottom

Reality TV was okay for awhile, but come on now, it's being done to death, masses or no masses. But maybe Rock Star is worth a watch just to get a look at the host .

Anyone catch this last night? WOW, every song was done great and I personaly really like all of those songs.
I am not saying every performer would make it with INXS, but they all did a fantastic job. Song list was:
You can't always get what you want (Rolling Stones)
Suspicious Minds (Elvis)
Wish you were here (Pink Floyd)
Imagine (John Lenon)
Live and Let Die (Sir Paul McCartney)
Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)
I thought this was the best night for songs and performances. They had a string section a horn sectioin and a choir along with the usual house band which has week in and week out done a great job with the songs. If are missing this show because it is a reality show, you are missing some quality interpritations of some of the best songs ever written.- Bottom

Yeah, in fact he happens to be from New Glasgow, the place where I live.Originally posted by spiritedAnd he happens to be a Canadian from Nova Scotia. :dothewave:
This town is going crazy over JD. I was walking this morning and there congrats signs all over town. This young fellow seemed to know his destiny and worked hard to make it happen. As a youngster he acted in stage plays and musicals and later sang with local bands. His friends said he knew he would be a rock star someday. Good for him.- Bottom

Yeah, JD Fortune is the guy. He is talented and seems a good match for the band I think.
There was a lot of fuss about Marty KC, but myself, I never saw it that way. I picked JD as the winner from the final 3.Doug
