SURE...how about the DVD3800??? Awesome unit, makes me wonder why anyone would pay the additional $$$ for the 9000???
Specs are close: Video 12/108, Audio 24/192...both have Silicon Image SiL504 deinterlacer & 4x oversampling.

I'm all up for this. Denon has a solid track record, with a few exceptions, of course, and looks to lead the way in the future with equipment, especially DVD players. Denon is expected to release several DVD players this fall that will be universal and may even have DVI and other goodies on it.
As for the 9000, that may be one item that didn't work out the way it was supposed to. Good playback, but was quickly surpassed in technology and features. (and has to be fixed with the chroma bug)
but on that note, Denon seems to readily admit shortcomings with products, such as even specifying on their website which players have the chroma bug! They then work to update and fix the problem. That shows honesty and class to me!

A CD will fix current units. New ones ship chroma free... not too shabby!
The fix works on the 3800 and 9000 models. People with 2800's and 2800II are SOL. 8O

by Chris DI bought a Hughes E86 HDTV Satellite Receiver from Good Guys a few weeks ago. They're having a sale on them for $399, brought down even further to $299 if you buy any HDTV.
So far the set has been great. Others have reported local channel reception being dropped by these units, but I...02 August 2003, 18:47 Saturday -
by Ken SmithThis is my 1st post here at Club Rotel, I hope I can get some answers. I'm tired of all the players coming out of China (low quality) and I thought I'd give Rotel a try. I went to my local dealer about 1 1/2 years ago to audition the RDV 1080 he steered me towards the Denon 3800, which I bought w/o...-
