    Club Denon

Anyone want a club for Denon products and user feedback?

SURE...how about the DVD3800??? Awesome unit, makes me wonder why anyone would pay the additional $$$ for the 9000???

Specs are close: Video 12/108, Audio 24/192...both have Silicon Image SiL504 deinterlacer & 4x oversampling.

I'm all up for this. Denon has a solid track record, with a few exceptions, of course, and looks to lead the way in the future with equipment, especially DVD players. Denon is expected to release several DVD players this fall that will be universal and may even have DVI and other goodies on it.

As for the 9000, that may be one item that didn't work out the way it was supposed to. Good playback, but was quickly surpassed in technology and features. (and has to be fixed with the chroma bug)

but on that note, Denon seems to readily admit shortcomings with products, such as even specifying on their website which players have the chroma bug! They then work to update and fix the problem. That shows honesty and class to me!

For everyone's benefit, I've started a new thread here on the new Denon players coming out to consolidate discussion on it into one place. Click on http://www.htguide.com/CFBoards/inde...artRow=1&CFB=1
