Just sold my Denon DVD-1600 and looking at purchasing a Denon DVD-1920 to replace it. Basically I want a dual purpose player such as DVDA/SACD and good video/sound dacs. Is the Denon 1920 a good buy like the 1600 was back in its day? I have a Sony Sony KP46WT520 CRT HD TV with HDMI inputs. I was also thinking of getting the cheap Sony Progressive scan (has 12bit 108MHz Video-DAC) that does upconvert at wal-mart for $70. My buddy just bought one for his LCD HDTV and it looks as good as my Denon DVD-1600 if not better. Just looking for something to get me by until HD DVD becomes available.
Need a new DVD Player Denon DVD-1920?

- DD-EX
- DPL2 (5/6/7...-
