This issue still a big problem with RSP-1066 as it is quite slow to processes the audio stream in Dolby Digital, DTS and DPL II. Compared to other surround processors that I had before, RSP-1066 introduces a big delay in audio compared to the video image. In my case I’ve DVD player connect with SCART to TV. If I let audio came through TV speakers and speakers from RSP-1066/RMB-1075, the echo is so noticeable, that you can really perceive how big is the delay introduced by RSP-1066 in the audio signal.
We all know that RSP-1066 is almost dead in terms of new firmware releases. But, would it be too much to ask Rotel to release a new version, with a workaround to provide a means of delaying audio/video to compensate?
