    Lip sync Issue

    hello all,

    a friend is having a lip sync issue with dorect tv & a 50' samsung plamsa tv.
    any used this device http://www.felston.com/ ? or is it a direct tv issue?

      Is the audio behind the video or vice versa?

      What is he using for audio? Digital or analog?

      Is it on all channels, or just some?

      I've seen lip sync issues on some programs/channels. Usually it's at the source.

          The Felston should correct it if the the audio is ahead of the video. I've been researching these too as I'm having the same problem with my Dish HD signals.

          FWIW, on my system it's worse on some channels than on others, and doesn't happen at all on some.

              Have you played with the HD/SD audio sync option in the dish menu?

                      it's behind. does direct tv have audio sync option or should he switch to comcast?

                          thanks all,

                          the yamaha rxv463 has an "AUDIO DELAY" feature. we increased it to 80 & now everything is in sync. :T

                              I have to say that I was excited when I heard that Lip-Sync was going to be a new feature within the new software. See, I've always had this issue where the audio is several milli-seconds after the video.

                              However, the new lip-sync feature doesn't exactly work...
