RSP-1066 and 'non Red Book' CDRs

I have been playing around trying to rip a AC3 soundtrack from a concert DVD and burn it to a CDR. I know that the DVD has a 48K bitstream and I must convert it to 44.1K before burning it (hmmm, BeSweet). The problem I have, is that the 1066 recognizes it as a DTS bitstream (as displayed on the unit anyway) and no sound is played. I ended up splitting it into the 6 mono channels and reconverting it to DTS and that DOES WORK (FYI, DTS encoder is NOT free). Any insight or has anyone else got the Rotel to play an AC3 CDR file? I haven't actually burned a CDR; I have been using the S/PDIF out from the computer. Articles on the net 'imply' that you should be able to create an AC3 CDR. (Sorry if this is a little off topic)

I found a pre-encoded AC3 file ... the 1066 recognizes it as Dolby Digital just fine... sorry ... back to the drawing board!

UPDATE: BeSweet 1.4 (last non-beta version) works correctly

Rotel RSP1068 & Pink Floyd Pulse 'high bitstream' track
      by chachi
Bit confused maybe someone else can shed more insight ... I recently emailed Rotel Europe asking if the RSP-1068 would accept/play the 640Kbps DD 'high bitstream' audiotrack or not via optical, and they replied as follows:

"Dolby specify that all standard DVD's with a 'Dolby Digital'...

      RDV-1092 Won't Read CDs
      by gtopaul
Works great on DVDs, which I really use it 99% of the time for, but will not read either CDRs or prerecorded CDs. They load and it recognizes them but once start is hit they won't play. Just had the unit serviced by Rotel in July. Due for a trip back?

      Thanks.
