    Which one : 2 x RB1080 or 1 x RB1090

    Hello every one,
Looking to drive my CDM9NT with 2 RB1080 has any one done this before.
Or would it be better to get RB1090.
I know I’m looking at this for some time now but I just would like to make this the perfect fit with my RMB1075 that I use for center and surrounds
    Thank you for your assistance.

          Elamc,

I'm another RB-1090 fan... The benefits of the extra current (bi-wired of course) will outweigh the bi-amping of the RB-1080s and (as per lots of recent threads on this topic) you would need a high quality crossover to separate out the bass / treble too really get the benefits and this would (unless VERY carefully set) fight with the speaker crossover...

Now in terms of your "match with a RMB-1075" question. The answer is "yes and no". In terms of sound balance the two will be a match. In terms of volume - 380W is only 4db more than 120W so it will be easy to adjust the levels using your pre-pro. However in terms of sheer quality you may (one day) want to go RMB-1095 which is a better match for the RB-1090 - but that is more a further step up for you rather than any problem with the RMB-1075

          Geoff
