    New AV purchase

    Hi,

    I am at the edge of purchasing a new AV-receiver. After listening to several options among which the Arcam AVR-300 and the Rotel rsx-1055 I decided the Rotel sound is more my sound. However the rsx-1055 is the older model. Should I go for the rsx-1056 dispite the EUR 400,-- price difference and why?

      Better components (sound quality), better bass management & DPLIIx.

      It really comes down to how good a deal you can get on the 1055 as it's a fine reciever on it's own but the 1056 is better and if the dealer isn't willing to give you a substantial discount I'd go with the new one.

          ... and this time in relative luxury of my own home theater. When I saw this in the theater it kinda left me cold. It was probably the different take on the legend and how King Arthur came to be. But watching it the second time, with a few added scenes ( Director's Cut ) seemed to modify my thinking....
