    Turn off display on 1066

    Hi guys!

I have a Rotel 1066 pre-amp. I know that I can turn off the display by pressing the 'Menu' button on the remote control for a few seconds. But everytime that I switch the pre-amp off and on, the display comes back on again! Is there a way to switch it off permanently (other than driving a screwdriver through it of course  ) ?

    Any help is appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Freek Suyver.

Too bad! Would be a good thing if they improved this on the new pre-amp.

Oh well, I guess I'll just try with black tape.

      Cheers,
      Freek.

Can this be set via a menu option? Are we lucky enough to perhaps get another firmware release?

          Rotel 1066 wish list.
          by Andrew Pratt
I thought I'd start a thread asking members what they'd like to see changed in the Rotel 1066. Since its upgradable maybe we can get Rotel to implement some of our requests for the next firmware upgrade. I'll keep editing this post with all the latest requests...

          1) I'd like to be able...

1098 Display shuts off permanently after holding down display button
          by Quantronics
I know there's been a lot of anticipation in getting the 1098 display to turn off and remain off when you silent the display. My system can do it! There's only one problem, I can't back track and replicate it each time. I typically leave my system on 24hrs. I also turn on my zone 2. I'm not sure...

How can I turn off the 1068 panel display from a Harmony remote?
          by eidehli
Has anybody succeeded in turning the 1068 panel display off from a programmable remote, in particular the Harmony 890?

I have not found any commands in the Logitech database for doing this, neither have I been able to use the learn function on the Harmony to transfer this command from...

          by LuckyLuke
          Hello,

Is there a button on the big remote to turn the lcd display complete off,
like the button "main" on the front of the C1?
I've allready updated the firmware on the C1 + remote

          Hi guys,

So I went and ordered a cable from Rotel to do the firmware upgrade on my RSP-1066 (BTW, they charged me USD $30.00, no matter how hard I tried to get the cable for free ). UPS brought me the cable this morning. Happy and excited, I printed the instructions and connected the...
