RSX 1066 Multi Input / Sub Questions

Can anyone tell me if the speaker size and sub crossover settings apply when the Multi Input is used for DVD-A for SACD? A little confused after reading the manual........

Also, I have two subs. I was advised to use just one and hookup to LFE / Sub output. I am thinking about going back to my original configuration of using the sub in between the pre pro and power amp and using the second sub as LFE.any comments on this????? I presume I'd set the fronts to Large in this case (if it matters with the Mult Input>>.)

    thanks

    Welcome Mike

None of the crossover setting apply to the 5.1 analog inputs. Depending on if you've done the Bass Fix the 1066 will copy and depending on your bass management in your player possibly double the bass below 100hZ sent to your speakers and sub. Otherwise it passes through the signal from the player with no bass management or delays. Those setting need to be done in the player.

      Multi-channel input question
      by jakermc
OK, I know this input passes a signal straight to the volume control. I also know that the volume attenuation is done in the analog domain. So if the multi-channel input is used, will the volume attenution settings that are selected in the speaker set-up menu come into play, or will the RDC-7 simply...

I currently have my M&K VX-860 250 watt sub volume level set at Reference and also set to bypass its crossover settings in favor of the pre/pro. On the 1068 I have the crossover set...

      Hello,

I finally registered since I had something useful to add. More to come.

I've spent a good deal of time characterizing the Rotel RSP-1066's bass management under all input conditions. Below is the link to my web page with Rotel's Bass management report and workarounds...
