Rdv-1050

I´m having a hard time finding information & especialy reviews/test of the RDV-1050 dvd player.

I have already ordered the RSP-1068 & RMB-1075 & it would be nice to have a matching dvd player.

But i´m a bit concerned about the quality of rotel´s dvd players. - I have heard rumers about slow layer change, poor handling of cd-r / dvd-r media & less than average quality video scaler.

Is any of the above true ?

Can anyone tell my what type of video scaler Rotel uses...Feroudja..sillicon image etc. ??

And finally.....what player should i choose if i turns out, that the Rotel just is´nt good enough ?? - Denon A11 / 2900 .....any recumendations ???

The RDV-1050 has only recently been released so it will take a couple more months before any reviews will be published. If youre after comments from owners of this machine try www.audioreview.com - however i doubt many people would have posted their comments/criticisms yet as the player is relatively new to the market. I cannot answer your other questions as i am just becoming familiar with rotel and their products. I too hope to be ordering a 1068 (when it becomes available in Oz) and 1075 in the next few months

I might be mistaken, but i think, that the RDV-1050 has been available here in Denmark for a couple of month´s now.

I have already seen the review on www.audioreview.com...but thanks for the hint. I will have to agree btw...it´s an excellent site for gathering info, but regarding the RDV-1050, it´s a little thin....to say the least (a single users positive, but not very fullfilling opinion) :W
