    Help Me Build Our Top 25 Movies List!

    As part of the new features on the BB, I want to create a list of the top 25 movies (movies, not DVD's) for HTGuide members. By "top" I mean the movies that affected you the most when you saw them, that have you coming back again and again. See what you think about my list. . . . Please post your replies in this thread. Thanks for playing!

    OK. I promise I'll do so this weekend. The reason I'm posting is that, otherwise, I might get lazy and not do so. Gonna be tough, but fun.

          We've had some additions to the Top 25 Movies list. Check 'em out. And, if you haven't voted, or if your list has changed, send them to me Here.

            I added my list. There's already quite a few lists in your post. How many do you want (read: are you hoping for)??

            Big question: Why isn't Apocalypse now (redux) on the high-score list?? Come on everybody! Add your lists now.

            Cheers,
            Freek Suyver.

              Eventually, I'd like HUNDREDS of members' lists. Seriously, I thought it'd be cool to have a comprehensive list of HT Guide's members favorite movies. I'm collecting all the lists in a spreadsheet, so the published list of titles can be as large or as small as we choose. Right now, 25 titles seems the best size to shoot for.

                I would also be interested (at some point) to see the total list of ALL movies that have been nominated at least once, twice, three times and so on. Maybe it would be a good idea to wait until you already have a large number of entries, because I am sure that this knowledge influences the resutls.

                By the way: don't you think that you will just end up with the IMDB top-250 list if you add enough people?

                  XXX - Over the top fun!
                  by SayersWeb
                  We received XXX from Netflix this past weekend. If you like action and over the top stunts, this movie is for you. The story was a bit predictable and won't teach you any valuable life lessons. This is a good one to show off your HT system and revel in stunts that you know aren't possible, but are fun...

                  Hey! I want to know what are the Top 5 DVD's with the BEST surround sound. DTS is always preferable, but list your top 10 demo DVD's.

                  Here are mine:

                  1. Saving Private Ryan {DTS}

                  2. LOTR (I, II, and III) {DTS-ES}

                  3. Air Force One

                  Finally, some interesting spam
                  by Lex
                  This came to me in spam today. The title looked interesting enough that I actually opened it. Something I don't do with much spam. Anyway, you can read it. Might be particularly interesting for anyone related to the movie industry....
