    Rack mount for the 1095

I am looking to rack mount my 1095 (and later my 1098 .. when I purchase it). Are people doing this? Is there a good place to get the faceplates .. hopefully within Canada. I know MidAtlantic sells them but at almost $200cdn!

    Any help would be apprieciated...

    Thanks

Unfortunately you ruled out the only company that I know that makes rack shelves for the 1095. The heatsink design rules out your typical 'rack ear' attachment.

The middle atlantic racks do look good though..

I can get you some middle atlantic pieces pretty reasonable, how much WOULD you want to pay for one?

I was hoping the rack shelves would be $100ish cdn. The pricing I'm getting back from MA is in the $170 area. I would have about 4-5 components to rack. With taxes and deleivery I would be looking at over $1000!! I would rather have a rdv-1050!

Best price on Middle Atlantic RackMounts

The best place I have found to purchase Middle Atlantic equipment is from R.S. Engineering and Manufacturing in California. The website is www.rsem.com. Their prices are substantially less than MSRP... on average about $85 US for a generic rackmount shelf, or $100 US for a custom faceplated rackmount.

Halos in a 19" EIA rack
              by Peter Nielsen
              Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to get my Halos and some other equipment mounted in 19" racks and getting the most aesthetically pleasing result.

The big question is whether I should go with the custom trim panels (same color as the Halo rack mount hardware) that...

Some sample pictures to whet your appetite of my current equipment rack. Theater project is nearing the end.

The actual rack, current as of today. Not fully complete, but pretty much so. I chose to go with a horizontal rack to allow the large window above it to remain unobstructed...

              Halo in a rack mount
              by starford
For those folks interested in a rack mount solution, here's a shot of my solution to the problem:

Those are two Middle Atlantic SRSR series racks side by side in a custom box. They slide out and pivot for rear cable access.

Here's a show with things turned...
