    Shocked ***Update***

You all may remember my "incident" with my 1066 that caused it to be sent to the Mothership (Rotel) for repair. Well Mike from Rotel just called and I'm happy to report that I am the proud owner of the title "The first ever incident of an electrostatic shock causing the IR sensor to fail!" LOL....Of course it would happen to me.

Rotel recieved my 1066 last Thursday and they shipped it back to me YESTERDAY!!! Good gravy...that's fast! So either they fixed it on Friday or worked on it over the weekend... :T Either way, I'm a happy camper cause it will be back in my theater this Thursday!!! :^x

Not only did they fix the IR sensor but they upgraded the video section to the upgraded bandwith allowing for HDTV for FREE!!!! :-y ;x( :amen:

I can't say enough how pleasant Mike and the boys at Rotel have been through this whole process!!!

    Thanks Rotel... :sn

Does that mean that those of us with limited video bandwidth models should start wearing lots of wool and shuffling our feet on the carpet.

            SSP-600 IR sensor not working?
            by kpodolski
The IR sensor on my SSP-600 has stopped working. I use a Marantz RC-5200 remote which is working fine. Also, the original Classe remote is working fine; I checked it with my digital camera and can see the IR flashing. I've just uploaded ver. 1.5.3. but that hasn't helped. I'm kinda stumped. The...

Our very own Andrew notified Rotel about the "Wish List" post right here at HTG and here's what they had to say (Andrew asked me to post this):

It makes me, and all the other Rotel 1066 owners I bet, feel real good about our recent purchase! NICE WORK ROTEL!...
