Any news on the RSP-1098

Anyone know what kind of CPU, DSP, DAC and ADC parts it will use?

Hope they include IEE1394/firewire so you don't need all the cables to listen to DVD-A and SACD and can control the sound better.
What remote will be included, i have heard that the RR-969 is discontinued ;-)

Are they coming with a new PC programmable remote as the RR-1090 is also discontinued?

About all the info I have was posted in the other thread about the 1098 but I do know we're getting a new remote for the 1055, 1066 and 1098

Wouldn't this constitute a "digital" connection? Which is illegal! It's my understanding that until the law regarding copyrights and digital formats is changed, and unless the RIAA and MPAA lighten up (highly unlikely.) SACD and DVD-A will never have anything thing but an analog interface from source to processor.

...but I do know we're getting a new remote for the...1066

Here's what Rotel had to say when I asked if, when the new remote comes out (and I actually receive my new 1066 ), I would be able to "trade up" to the new remote: "At this time I do not believe we will be offering a trade-in policy for the new remotes, though they will be available for purchase through your dealer should you wish to obtain one at some time."

I receive with my new 1066 (yesterday) the RR1050, this remote replaces the rr969.

I didn't know this, the week before, i bought the RR1090

Well, at the hifi shop I do projects for, you can now preorder the RSP-1098 and the new DVD player RDV-1060.
