    RSP-1068 Standby button doesn't work

    Hello,

I just got a used RSP-1068 and there are some little issues with it. It works fine generally, but I have some questions.

1- The "standby" button doesn't have any effect
2- When I power it on with the back on/off switch, it power on displaying only "zone"
3- To actually turn it on, I have to press one of the input button. (ex: Video 1)
4- From time to time it cutoff, I have to turn it off and on from the back switch.

I did open it and look around disconnecting boards and visually it looks fine.

    Any idea?

    Thank you.

    Pitou!

My new Yamaha HTR-6090 receiver's remote has been setup for a one (Power) button start for the TV, STB & receiver. The power button can also be used to stop everything except the receiver. That requires the "Standby" button to be pressed.
Why is this "Standby" button needed...

    Power button, settings, RSX-1055
    by Glenn
I have temporarily set-up my new RSX-1055 to make sure all is working correctly. It has the latest firmware.

The current set-up is 2 channel. Just the basics for right now. I went into the set-up menu and changed the front main channels to "large". I set all the rest to "none"....

    1068/1075 STANDBY Mode
    by chanlon
    Hello guys,

Just wondering is it Ok to leave my RSP1068/RMB1075 combo in standby mode while I am either asleep or gone to the office? I am using the 12V trigger switches on these units and thus find it a pain to be "maunally" pressing the power buttons.

    I guess...
